Tell Me Why...
I left a permanent marker on the stove, of all places, with a toddler in the house? Where did she get those octopus arms from?? Seriously...No pictures, because I was too busy frantically trying to remove said marker from the front of my stove *sigh* This is what happens when I try and go potty in peace.

Monkey See, Monkey Do...
In this case, not such a bad thing! Jake was doing his reading tonight, so Liv went and got one of her books and started "reading" (of course, its an all about horses book) He's reading out loud, she's trying to "read" over him LOL. Then she got tired of it, and decided to put her book down and let Jake read to her! (Jake checked out a Blues Clues Book-He said he wanted an easy book this time LOL)

I See You...
I'm cheating-This picture is from Sunday. I was getting my coffee Sunday am, looked out the back window and saw these eyes popping up thru the snow. Some time ago, our tree face fell apart. And because I am so on top of things (NOT) they stayed right where they landed. All nestled next to tree. Funny thing? The bottom half of the face is still on the tree-See Below lol

I Wonder Where She Gets It From???
Liv was stalling getting in the tub (she used to love the tub till she pooped in it, now she wants nothing to do with it) so she said she had to go pee. She sat there for a minute, then said, "Mommy, Book?" I handed her my Woman's Day (yes, I do have somewhat normal magazines in there LOL) and she threw it on the floor and said, "NO! BOOK!" and pointed to my Us Weekly. I gave it to her and she happily sat there "reading" it for a couple of minutes LOL. I say I wonder where she gets it from, but I know it's from ME (well, Hank does it too, but he somehow gets left alone when he's in the potty) Its the only place in the house that I get some kind of peace, even if it's only while I'm going potty. And it's only peaceful if I leave the door open. As soon as I shut the door, they swarm on it like I'm doing something secretive. You mothers out there can relate. NEVER SHUT THE BATHROOM DOOR. It's an open invitation to mischief and everything else in between.
The New Donnie And Marie?? (Videos)
Ok, Jake had a 2 hr delay this am (hence all the toys on the floor lol) He and Liv decided to make some music. Jake, for some reason, decided to start singing about his time off from Xmas vacation, when he had to go back to school, having his 2 hr delay (because the roads were slick)...LOL...
And Liv has always been into music. And, of course, she's wearing a hat-Shocking, I know lol

Snow Day!!!
Ok, I OD'ed on pictures...What can I say?? I had to post them because so many turned out cute. This was actually Liv's first time playing in the snow! Everytime it's snowed, she's been sick, I've been sick, etc, so we've never gone out. She DID NOT want to come in. Most of her laughing pics was her laughing her head off at some antic Jake was doing (I know, you're all shocked!) I think Jake is just thrilled to do anything to make her giggle =)

Jake the Didj Master
Jake, chilling on the couch, playing his Didj. He's thrilled that I finally loaded the program on my computer so he could play Jet Pack Heros. He got to create a bunch of didjis today, too (Avatars). He hasn't put it down since! The cool thing about this is, I can load his spelling words for the week, math problems, things like that, so when he's playing, he's learning what he actually NEEDS to learn in school. I love Leapster =)
I have to add, because I just noticed it in the pictures, I CAN NOT stand that his socks are too big. You say, get a smaller size? Yep, can't do that. They are TOO SMALL! No matter what brand I buy-It kills me! SO, I guess I, I mean, HE will just suffer till his feet grow alittle more (even though the kid is already wearing a size 3!!)

The New "Action Jackson"
Jake is doing basketball thru Parks N Rec. He's having a great time so far, though my poor child is uncoordinated like his mother. Funny thing? He's right handed but he dribbles much better with his left! This last shot was him jumping at the guy and screaming "DEFENSE" He takes his screaming very serious LOL

It Lasted 15 Minutes....
So, Saturday afternoon, Liv crawled out of the pack n play @ my mother's. I knew we were in for it. Sunday night, I put Liv in her crib for T/O (she hit the dog, just in case anyone's wondering LOL) and all the sudden, down the hall she came. So, Hank decided to get the toddler bed out. He was afraid she'd fall on her important parts and injure herself. So, we got the bed out, made a big deal (internally I'm totally freaking out-I'm so not ready for this!) When it came time for bed, I laid her down, turned off the lights-Crying...Not bad, so I walked away. I continue to hear alittle here and alittle there for about 15 min, then I decided to check on her. She was in total silent freakout mode. Poor kid! She was crying so hard (not loud either!) I thought she was going to barf all over herself she was so worked up. Took me 15 min to comfort her =( She decided the crib was a GREAT place to sleep. I put her back in and life's good again-FOR NOW...Let's see how long it lasts *sigh*

Freezing Fog and a Sad Goodbye =(
Well, since it was 62 on Friday, it was only fitting that Saturday and Sunday's highs only be in the 20s/30s with freezing fog, now wouldn't it? However, it can make for some cool shots. This one in black I took last night at my mother's house. The others were taken this am @ my house...
And now for the sad goodbye *sigh* My really good friend Jennifer pulled up stakes this am, headed for, of all places, Idaho. She's a wonderful friend, and her presence in my daily life will be greatly missed. I am just thankful that where she's going is only about 30 minutes from my Grandma, so I will be able to still see her from time to time!! Jen, I love you girl and will miss you terribly!

2 Days In ONE! Thursday/Friday
And they both involve Liv...First pic is from yesterday-This is routinely how she dresses up. Her dollar store hat, kitty ears from her Halloween costume, and Jake's Hawaiian lei LOL
The 2nd pic is from today. She loves to stack and line things up. Today it was all the cups from where I put all the kiddy cups. She also put some forks and baby spoons in there for good measure.
I haven't been very creative the last couple of days. My really good friend is moving on Sunday *Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh* so I've been trying to spend as much time with her as possible!

This is how my day started out...I hear Liv saying "Give a kiss? Give a kiss?" I turn around and she's trying to force a kiss on the poor dog. Can you see the look in Jo Jo's face? She's just humoring her. What you don't see is that right after I took the pic, the dog licked her tongue-Say it with me now, people-EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Jake's had this stuffed cat (in the jacket lol) since he was 15mths old. I distinctly remember buying it. I was in a drug store buying IVF meds for our first IVF cycle after Jake, and he saw this cat-HAD.TO.HAVE.IT. There was no way around it. He STILL loves this cat. Lately he's been feeling the need to "care" for the cat. I think it stems from the fact that Santa refuses to bring him a real kitten for Christmas (I told Jake animals aren't allowed in Santa's sack-they'll fight :P ) Apparently he felt the need to get his heavy winter jacket off the hook and wrap "meow meow" in it for the night. It was in one of his shirts. Must've been too small ;-)

It's HOW HOT Outside?!!?!?!?!
Yep, you see it correctly-58 degrees in the middle of January! Now, I have to say, anyone who knows me knows I love the heat. I'd much rather be too warm than too cold. Lord, you can't shake that chill from your bones (unless you drink a 5th of whiskey, which I really am not keen on doing) HOWEVER, with all the cooties going around, this is not good! I've become such a germaphobe since Jake was so sick from January thru the end of March last year. That boy had everything from the flu, to ear infections, to the barfs. You name it, we probably had it in our house. So, this heatwave does nothing but send shudders down my back *sigh* Oh well...I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts. Give me two weeks and I'll be complaining about the cold! :p

Meet Jo Jo
This is Jo Jo, our dog, who bears a striking resemblence to Eddie Munster (look at that hairline lol) The poor dog puts up with so much abuse, between Jake and Liv, I'm surprised she hasn't had a nervous breakdown. She really is a good dog. I think she only puts up with the kids because she loves adults lol. Isn't she sweet?? She'd be sweeter if she'd learn how to freaking lick less. Lord help me, that drives me insane, but so many things do that anyway-What's 1 more???

Guess Who Roller Skated?!?!?!? (Saturday)
Livvie!!! Jake's been a couple of times, but Liv hasn't yet. Well, Jake had a birthday party to go to yesterday so I decided to try Liv in some skates, just to see how she did. Disclaimer: They do tighten the wheels so they can't go ass over tea kettle, but still-She did GREAT! Refused to let me hold her hand. Everytime she fell, she'd just look at me and say "Mommy, I need help" lol. Jake did really well, too (His wheels were tightened as well lol) Because we're a small town, we don't actually have a roller rink. They convert one of the Elementary school gyms into a roller rink on the weekends. The kids have a blast =)

Jake the Super Speller & Hawaiian Chef Liv!
13 spelling lists, 13 perfect pre-tests! If they get 100% on the pre-test, they don't have to take the test the next day. Jake is on his way to becoming a SUPER SPELLER like his Mommy =)
Meet Hawaiian Chef, Ms Olivia! My mother made her a chef's hat, apron, and a mitt for Christmas. She loves the hat, but only when SHE wants the hat on. You can't put it on or it goes flying across the room. She was serving me cheese from the pan and pickles from her play kitchen. Sometimes I get a bun, only if I'm lucky, and only if I'm good :p

A background on the nickname "Foofs", Jake's Nickname "Bird"
I guess I should tell you how that nickname came about, because I'll probably be calling her foofs (and Jake "Bird") thru the year. We used to sing the song "Little Bunny Foo Foo" to Olivia. Then we thought it'd be more funny if we sang "Little Livvy Foo Foo" and the nickname spiraled from there and was shortened to Foofs.
Now, I used to call Jake, Jaybird when he was little. My sister calls her daughter Julia "bird" and I always thought it was so cute. Well, Jake's nickname, much like Olivia's, became shortened to just "Bird" I call him Bird so often, I don't even think about it. I can already see it now, Jake's name in lights, Jake "The Bird" Bulloss. Oy...Maybe not...

Meet Pirate Foofs
So, not sure when this all started (and btw, these pics weren't taken today-I surely hope it's not breaking the rules LOL) but she started squinting up one eye when we'd take her picture. Then we started saying "No Pirate Eye!" and she then started going "arghhhhhhhhh" when she squinted as well LOL. This is one pirate I won't make walk the planks =)
And can I say, God love the child who, when you go into their room after their nap, all sweaty and gross from working out in a sports bra and leggings (yep, you may need to scratch your eyeballs to erase that image off your corneas lol) points to your war torn, stretchmarked from whoo ha to whoo hee after giving birth to 2 kids belly and says "Mommy's belly. So pretty" and gives you a hug.
Now THAT'S Love =)
Now THAT'S Love =)

Meet My Frien-emy...the Treadmill...
There she stands, in all her glory (watching TV I might add!) Ok, so really, she's not watching TV, but that's what *I* do to keep my ADD self from going insane. I decided to get back on the horse. It's been awhile...She's been staring me down daily for months, and I just put my blinders on as I walk on by, whistling dixie, pretending to not see the glares she gives-And boy, she can give good ones, too. (I think she may partly be mad that I'm hanging clothes off her)
And you heard it here first: I'm going to run a 5k. Yep, I've completely and totally lost my marbles. I've decided to suck it up and do it. Why in God's green earth would I sign up for something I hate to do? Who knows...Maybe I like torturing myself. I said I was going to do it last May, but well, life got in the way of that, so I'm determined to do it again this year. Surprisingly enough, I'm not as out of shape as I thought.

So, I post here and there on my progress, and I expect anyone and everyone to keep me in line because we all know what a slacker I can be. That being said, I've slacked enough...I'm off to finish my work.
