Monday-Walking to the Bus Stop

Jake takes the bus on Mondays and Wednesdays because Liv goes to preschool and it doesn't start until 830. So, we walk up-I stand on the corner and watch him walk the rest of the way. Liv loves to take her stroller for the walk. I love the pic of the sun coming up and Liv walking with her stroller. So pretty!

Sunday-Betty Homemaker I am...

Though some may disagree...I made the kiddos chocolate chip pancakes and even make orange jello with this ghost tins from the dollar store! (ignore the spillage-I may be Betty Homemaker, but I'm still a spaz :p )

Saturday-And they bowl!

I took the kiddos bowling on Saturday. It was Liv's first time! We had a blast. Liv kept insisting on going up and bowling, and Jake kept attempting to be a Border Collie and was trying to corral Liv, then she hit him, he tattled...Oh it was grand! lol Really, it was fun. We went with my friend Erin and her daughter Sammy.

Another One Bites the Dust

Jake lost another tooth! I think that makes 7 total! Again, we don't have the tooth. Others have been dropped down the sink-this one got lost at school. As Jake put it, "My straw made it fly out like a sling shot!" Apparently he was playing with it with his straw from his juice cup. Poor kid doesn't have much room in his mouth. I'm pretty positive he's destined for braces.

Mmm Mmm Good...

I heard a weird noise and turned to see Liv doing this:


I caught her licking the syrup off the paper plate (yep, breakfast on a paper plate-gotta problem with that?!?!?! lol) She had 2 french toast sticks (thank you Eggos lol) and 1/2 banana. The other half met it's demise on the ground. I swear, I don't know what to do with her. She begs for things then only eats 1/2. I've taken to saving the items and making her eat them later, however, bananas are un-save-able. Can you even imagine that a couple hours later? Blech...

Oh, and the Jake-ism for the day: This is what he said to me in the car tonight: "Mom, I like to smell the air. I think I'm going to be a smell detective" LMAO! Can you imagine? Wonder where he can go to college for that...

Ok, so I didn't take any pictures today. None...but if I'd had a camera, this is probably what I would've captured:

AM:
Liv running around with Gumby and Pokey, beating them on the head, screaming YEHAW!
Jake taking 20 minutes to pick out something to wear because I made the mistake of not pulling his clothes for the day.

PM:
Me picking Jake up from school early because I had a dentist appt-where was he instead of recess? In the classroom, missing recess, because he was too busy talking and interrupting the teacher all day.

Getting to the dentist's office-what's first on the agenda before we walk in? Soap in Liv's mouth for giving me a huge amount of attitude on the way to the dentist's office. OR even BETTER...Both kids sit like little Angels UNTIL I lean back and get 2 people over me and am incapacitated, then it was a version of "Kid's Gone Wild" where Liv decided it would be GRAND to run up and down the aisles @ the dr's office, and Jake, oh my sweet little Jake, not to be outdone by Liv, decided that the saddle that is FOR SHOW, in the corner, would be great to sit on. Yep, all the while, I'm waiting for a hole to open up in the floor to swallow me whole. THEN they had the audacity to cry when I said no cookie upon leaving the dr's office.

So, needless to say, when we got home, both kids ate dinner and went straight to their rooms until bedtime.

So, with all the picture choices today, you can see why I was so overwhelmed and couldn't pick just one. Just try visualizing it....

Ok this was from Jake's soccer game the other day. I'm cheating...I didn't take any pics today. But, I had to post this one. Isn't she cute?? Yep, that's how she gets away with everything. She flashes that stinking smile. Everything is better after that smile. Pour water all over the floor? Just give an innocent smile. Used a sharpie all over you clothes? No problem-out come the pearly whites. The "I can get away with anything" smile...Yep. It comes out often in this house. If the smile doesn't work, the whining comes...Oh, the whining. I think my ears have actually bled from it.

Sunday September 20th-Isn't It Sweet???

I unpacked Olivia's Olivia books (and oh my, she is SO much like her, it's scary lol) Jake had to read 30 minutes tonight so I asked if he'd read the Olivia books to Foofs. I think she really enjoyed it, and so did he!

Saturday September 19th-I Finished It!!!

Liv's bed is done! Just waiting for the paint to dry...Isn't that ironic?!?!?!

Picaso or Billy The Kid?!?!

Ok, so I went to go out to the car to warm it up this am. Yesterday, the kids were outside playing with chalk while I finished priming Liv's bed. I didn't pay much attention to what they drew. I heard Jake making machine gun noises, etc, but again, normal, so I didn't get up to see what he was doing.

So, this is what I found when I went out to the car:

Personally, I like his attention to detail. I mean, check out the smoke coming off the gun?? GENIUS! And the X mark is because the guy died due to Jake's excellent shot (according to Jake anyway) I either have the next Picaso or Billy the Kid...Not sure which just yet. To be continued...

Where Did the Octopus Arms Come From?!?!?!

So, this am I'm feeding Liv oatmeal and yogurt (how she can eat more than Jake in the am is beyond me, but that's another story for another day...) and I *think* I have her far enough away from the table so that she can't reach anything important (she's still in her highchair) I'm making Jake's lunch, and I look over and what is she doing? She's attempting to eat her oatmeal with an INK PEN! Where did she get this, you say?? She somehow managed to grab it from the table I ASSuMEd I had her far enough away from. I then asked her where her spoon was, for which she replied, "I don't know". I took away the pen, cleaned it up, and attempted to finish Jake's lunch. I turned around again, and she's now got my battery charger for my camera (thank GOD it was my back up) and she was filling it up with oatmeal. Holy Lord, I don't know how she does it. I am starting to think she has Go Go Gadget arms (for you youngin's who don't know who Inspector Gadget is, google it)

Oh, and I found her spoon inside her shirt...

Wednesday 9-16-Speed Racer Jake

Jake finally learned how to ride a bike! We've never lived in an area where he could learn (hills and rocks stopped us everytime LOL) So, this summer @ his babysitter's house, he learned how to ride in the grass. He think's he's one cool dude now (I think so, too, but shhh...don't tell him! ;-) ) Yes, he's riding w/o a helmet. His helmet strap broke and I need to get him a new one. When we go for a ride, he's restricted to the side of the road or the sidewalk. It works...most of the time...

And for the record: I'm not responsible for his socks being up around his neck. Seriously...I told him to push them down alittle. Sheez man, he looks like a white Urkel. And look at how big his feet are?!?!?! AND the best part? He's starting to have a hard time putting those size 4's on *sigh*

Tuesday 9-15---They're BAAAAAAAACK!

SO, my one tooth that's been crooked forever, decided to start going crazy again. It refuses to straighten so I stupidly made the off hand remark to my ortho to just put the brackets back on, thinking it'd only be like 2mths. He said, "Let's do it" and then said 4-6 mths!!! AHHHH! I feel like I'm being put back into prison. Oh well..at least my smile will be that much better when we're done...I hope...

Monday September 14th-Jake Scored a Hat Trick!

My baby boy scored 3 goals this game!! The first pic is him getting ready to score goal 1. The 2nd one I found funny...Jake is really coming into his own this year. He's playing like he's on FIRE! Go Jakey!!

Sunday 9-13-Family Picture Time!

I decided to have family pictures done before I get metal put back on my top teeth (all because of 1 stubborn tooth that refuses to straighten out *sigh*) This was when we were on our way out the door. My friend Erin took some outside. I can't wait to see them!

Saturday 9-12-Working on Liv's New Bed!

I bought Liv a bed frame @ a sale for $15. The wood on it was all scratched, so I decided to sand it and paint it white. I finally got all the sanding done (and with no help from the incredible creepy neighbor who decided he'd pass by our house 3 times and almost broke his neck looking at me while I was working. I almost told him if he drove by one more time I was going to make him pick up a pc of sand paper and jump in) Sometime this week or weekend I'm going to prime it and paint it. However, I'm now wondering if her mattress will fit it since it was the mattress from my old king bed...To be continued...

Friday 9-11 - Quotable Kids

While handing Jake something this am, I almost poked him in the eye. Jake looked at me and exclaimed, "Mom, you almost hit me in the eye health!" LOL

This is what happens when Jake can read. He was reading the back of his gummy bear vitamins a week or two ago and advised me that he needed to take his vitamins because he needed more eye health.

I also have to remember there is such a thing as TMI with a 2 yr old...Liv asked for more grapes at lunch because it will "help her poop some nuggets" I only told her it would help her poop...she so thoughtfully added the descriptive word "nuggets" to the sentence...

Thursday 9-10-I need Eyes at the Back of my Head...

Sooo...Liv was supposed to be in bed last night. I was in my bedroom talking to Jake while he was in the shower, putting away clothes. I went to come out so I could put some of Jake's clothes away, and I see Liv @ the kitchen table, water EVERYWHERE. Apparently she grabbed Jake's water bottle off the table, drank some water, then spit the rest out all over the floor. I was so mad, I grabbed the towels out of the bathroom and made her clean up the whole mess herself. The only thing she didn't clean was the table, and only because I didn't want her to make a bigger mess with stuff on the table. And apparently I made her so tired, she couldn't even make it to her bed to fall asleep!

Wednesday 9-9 - Liv's first day of preschool!

I can't believe my baby girl started preschool today! She barely flinched as I walked out of the room *sniff sniff* She's going to the same preschool Jake went to. I know she'll love it-They are a wonderful bunch of ladies there!

Tuesday 9-8 - First day of 2nd Grade

Jake started his first day of 2nd grade!!! I took the infamous pic of him in front of his school sign. He is starting to dislike it, but he's going to have to humor me thru 5th grade cause I won't relent LOL

so, I'd bought some peppers one day. I cut up a bunch but left a couple in the fridge because I wanted to make stuffed peppers. Well, Liv came around the corner with red juice on her, telling me she ate the peppers. I ASSuMED that she was eating the already cut up ones in the fridge. Well, later, I went to go make my stuffed peppers and noticed that she'd bit a hole in both the peppers I was going to use! (Aug/09)

Jake was cold one morning...Quite the get up, huh??? 8-09

This summer we went to Idaho. I got to meet up with a long lost friend Jimmy and his wonderful wife and kids Leanne, Andy, and Nate. We ended up going to the Boise Zoo. It was so hot, but the kids all got along great (so did Leanne and I - WOO HOO!) We had a really fun time!

Liv broke her arm-She decided it would be a good idea to take her step stool from underneath her bed, put it ON her bed, step on it, then fell off. I ended up taking her to the ER. After they swore it most likely was an elbow out of place, and manipulated the hell out of her arm, they finally decided to X-ray it (after I insisted we do it before we left) and low and behold, it was fractured above her elbow. So, she spent 6 weeks telling anyone that would listen, "I put my step stool on my bed, and fell off" If I had a dime for everytime I heard it I'd be rich lol.

This is alittle out of order, but this is from the Prineville Round up Rodeo. The mounted police let Liv get up on the horse. She was in HEAVEN! She had a blast that day. 6-28-09

Happy 4th of July 2009!

On Uncle Alex and Aunt Heather's boat. We drove down to Christina and Darren's house, got in their motor home, then drove to Lake Don Pedro, where we camped with Heather, Alex, Christina, Darren, Angie and her family, etc. We had a GREAT time! Jake put on a lifevest and was a pro in the water. It was so nice to see since last year he was such a chicken!
