So, no picture today...

Ok, so I didn't take any pictures today. None...but if I'd had a camera, this is probably what I would've captured:

AM:
Liv running around with Gumby and Pokey, beating them on the head, screaming YEHAW!
Jake taking 20 minutes to pick out something to wear because I made the mistake of not pulling his clothes for the day.

PM:
Me picking Jake up from school early because I had a dentist appt-where was he instead of recess? In the classroom, missing recess, because he was too busy talking and interrupting the teacher all day.

Getting to the dentist's office-what's first on the agenda before we walk in? Soap in Liv's mouth for giving me a huge amount of attitude on the way to the dentist's office. OR even BETTER...Both kids sit like little Angels UNTIL I lean back and get 2 people over me and am incapacitated, then it was a version of "Kid's Gone Wild" where Liv decided it would be GRAND to run up and down the aisles @ the dr's office, and Jake, oh my sweet little Jake, not to be outdone by Liv, decided that the saddle that is FOR SHOW, in the corner, would be great to sit on. Yep, all the while, I'm waiting for a hole to open up in the floor to swallow me whole. THEN they had the audacity to cry when I said no cookie upon leaving the dr's office.

So, needless to say, when we got home, both kids ate dinner and went straight to their rooms until bedtime.

So, with all the picture choices today, you can see why I was so overwhelmed and couldn't pick just one. Just try visualizing it....

Ok this was from Jake's soccer game the other day. I'm cheating...I didn't take any pics today. But, I had to post this one. Isn't she cute?? Yep, that's how she gets away with everything. She flashes that stinking smile. Everything is better after that smile. Pour water all over the floor? Just give an innocent smile. Used a sharpie all over you clothes? No problem-out come the pearly whites. The "I can get away with anything" smile...Yep. It comes out often in this house. If the smile doesn't work, the whining comes...Oh, the whining. I think my ears have actually bled from it.

Sunday September 20th-Isn't It Sweet???

I unpacked Olivia's Olivia books (and oh my, she is SO much like her, it's scary lol) Jake had to read 30 minutes tonight so I asked if he'd read the Olivia books to Foofs. I think she really enjoyed it, and so did he!

Saturday September 19th-I Finished It!!!

Liv's bed is done! Just waiting for the paint to dry...Isn't that ironic?!?!?!

Picaso or Billy The Kid?!?!

Ok, so I went to go out to the car to warm it up this am. Yesterday, the kids were outside playing with chalk while I finished priming Liv's bed. I didn't pay much attention to what they drew. I heard Jake making machine gun noises, etc, but again, normal, so I didn't get up to see what he was doing.

So, this is what I found when I went out to the car:

Personally, I like his attention to detail. I mean, check out the smoke coming off the gun?? GENIUS! And the X mark is because the guy died due to Jake's excellent shot (according to Jake anyway) I either have the next Picaso or Billy the Kid...Not sure which just yet. To be continued...

Where Did the Octopus Arms Come From?!?!?!

So, this am I'm feeding Liv oatmeal and yogurt (how she can eat more than Jake in the am is beyond me, but that's another story for another day...) and I *think* I have her far enough away from the table so that she can't reach anything important (she's still in her highchair) I'm making Jake's lunch, and I look over and what is she doing? She's attempting to eat her oatmeal with an INK PEN! Where did she get this, you say?? She somehow managed to grab it from the table I ASSuMEd I had her far enough away from. I then asked her where her spoon was, for which she replied, "I don't know". I took away the pen, cleaned it up, and attempted to finish Jake's lunch. I turned around again, and she's now got my battery charger for my camera (thank GOD it was my back up) and she was filling it up with oatmeal. Holy Lord, I don't know how she does it. I am starting to think she has Go Go Gadget arms (for you youngin's who don't know who Inspector Gadget is, google it)

Oh, and I found her spoon inside her shirt...

Wednesday 9-16-Speed Racer Jake

Jake finally learned how to ride a bike! We've never lived in an area where he could learn (hills and rocks stopped us everytime LOL) So, this summer @ his babysitter's house, he learned how to ride in the grass. He think's he's one cool dude now (I think so, too, but shhh...don't tell him! ;-) ) Yes, he's riding w/o a helmet. His helmet strap broke and I need to get him a new one. When we go for a ride, he's restricted to the side of the road or the sidewalk. It works...most of the time...

And for the record: I'm not responsible for his socks being up around his neck. Seriously...I told him to push them down alittle. Sheez man, he looks like a white Urkel. And look at how big his feet are?!?!?! AND the best part? He's starting to have a hard time putting those size 4's on *sigh*
