Wednesday 9-16-Speed Racer Jake

Jake finally learned how to ride a bike! We've never lived in an area where he could learn (hills and rocks stopped us everytime LOL) So, this summer @ his babysitter's house, he learned how to ride in the grass. He think's he's one cool dude now (I think so, too, but shhh...don't tell him! ;-) ) Yes, he's riding w/o a helmet. His helmet strap broke and I need to get him a new one. When we go for a ride, he's restricted to the side of the road or the sidewalk. It works...most of the time...

And for the record: I'm not responsible for his socks being up around his neck. Seriously...I told him to push them down alittle. Sheez man, he looks like a white Urkel. And look at how big his feet are?!?!?! AND the best part? He's starting to have a hard time putting those size 4's on *sigh*

Tuesday 9-15---They're BAAAAAAAACK!

SO, my one tooth that's been crooked forever, decided to start going crazy again. It refuses to straighten so I stupidly made the off hand remark to my ortho to just put the brackets back on, thinking it'd only be like 2mths. He said, "Let's do it" and then said 4-6 mths!!! AHHHH! I feel like I'm being put back into prison. Oh well..at least my smile will be that much better when we're done...I hope...

Monday September 14th-Jake Scored a Hat Trick!

My baby boy scored 3 goals this game!! The first pic is him getting ready to score goal 1. The 2nd one I found funny...Jake is really coming into his own this year. He's playing like he's on FIRE! Go Jakey!!

Sunday 9-13-Family Picture Time!

I decided to have family pictures done before I get metal put back on my top teeth (all because of 1 stubborn tooth that refuses to straighten out *sigh*) This was when we were on our way out the door. My friend Erin took some outside. I can't wait to see them!

Saturday 9-12-Working on Liv's New Bed!

I bought Liv a bed frame @ a sale for $15. The wood on it was all scratched, so I decided to sand it and paint it white. I finally got all the sanding done (and with no help from the incredible creepy neighbor who decided he'd pass by our house 3 times and almost broke his neck looking at me while I was working. I almost told him if he drove by one more time I was going to make him pick up a pc of sand paper and jump in) Sometime this week or weekend I'm going to prime it and paint it. However, I'm now wondering if her mattress will fit it since it was the mattress from my old king bed...To be continued...

Friday 9-11 - Quotable Kids

While handing Jake something this am, I almost poked him in the eye. Jake looked at me and exclaimed, "Mom, you almost hit me in the eye health!" LOL

This is what happens when Jake can read. He was reading the back of his gummy bear vitamins a week or two ago and advised me that he needed to take his vitamins because he needed more eye health.

I also have to remember there is such a thing as TMI with a 2 yr old...Liv asked for more grapes at lunch because it will "help her poop some nuggets" I only told her it would help her poop...she so thoughtfully added the descriptive word "nuggets" to the sentence...

Thursday 9-10-I need Eyes at the Back of my Head...

Sooo...Liv was supposed to be in bed last night. I was in my bedroom talking to Jake while he was in the shower, putting away clothes. I went to come out so I could put some of Jake's clothes away, and I see Liv @ the kitchen table, water EVERYWHERE. Apparently she grabbed Jake's water bottle off the table, drank some water, then spit the rest out all over the floor. I was so mad, I grabbed the towels out of the bathroom and made her clean up the whole mess herself. The only thing she didn't clean was the table, and only because I didn't want her to make a bigger mess with stuff on the table. And apparently I made her so tired, she couldn't even make it to her bed to fall asleep!
